Got some sweet sounds going down in Philly tomorrow morning as I am going to be a guest on the Preston and Steve show on WMMR. These guys are F'n great and this is a kick ass morning show... If you are in the Philly area go to 93.3 FM WMMR or can catch this online if you aren't in the Philly area. I am in Boston right now and driving straight to this gig as soon as we load out and and expect to be on somewhere between 730 Am and 930 depending on the snow and travel conditions.Got a best buy in-store clinic and at World Cafe tomorrow. Can't wait to bring it on!

Hi Everyone,
I am linking a brand new video of my new song Hunter's Moon for you to check out:
Been very busy getting everything together to launch the new
tour and record. "Joyland" is 10 songs, 8 brand new original tunes
and 2 killer covers, plus a DVD including mini lessons, a documentary on
the record, and a bit about me and my hometown of Topeka. The new performance
videos are shot in HD and sound great. All-in-all there is more than 80
minutes of new stuff on the CD and a DVD. Adding in all these things pushed the
actual release date a little bit back.
As it stands now I will have the brand new Joyland CDs to sell at my shows
starting Feb 23 (it is after all a CD release party) so come by and talk with
me in person about the new tunes. Digital sales go live on March 23, physical
CDs starts to be available on or before April 6th.
A ton of new US tour dates and hopefully some select European dates continue to
get added and you'll see these updated on my sites as soon as they lock. There
are plans for South America and Asia in late 2010 so I will keep you posted on
that as well!
I'll be on "Mountain Stage" On Feb 28th - lots of NPR stations carry
this program and on March 1st I'll be on "Woodsongs" (this will be my
2nd time on) live from Lexington KY. A bunch o' stations carry this and it is
also streamed online!
Lastly, I want try something new this time out. I want to do family photos (you
guys and me!). I plan on taking some pics from the stage and then post them on
my site so we can all be part of a family thing. As I plan to tour pretty hard
core for the next 2 years, if I come back through your neck of the woods we'll
do another family photo. These will be hosted through the blog section on the
website and we'll use this as a digital guest book up for each show.
Of course I will always be there at the end of the night to
get some individual pics as well!

Special Events/Clinics news celebrating the Joyland release

Special Events/Clinics news
A couple of quick announcements:
doing some really fun special events scheduled around the digital
release of the Joyland album on Feb 23. All are FREE and will feature
a guitar clinic, meet and greet, and performance of some of my tunes.
Plus, very cool giveaways and prizes including a Yamaha Acoustic,
D'Addario strings and much more.
I'm committed to spreading the joy of fingerstyle guitar and,
whenever possible, incorporating worthy non-profit music oriented school
or outreach programs because the need for music in our lives is more
critical than ever, imo. Please note: Aside from my music in-stores
stuff- I will be doing similar programs with a few public schools - so
these won't be open to the general public but to the students in
various music programs. Here are the dates that i have so far (more

Hi Everybody,
Ringing in
the New Year a bit early with big HELLO to y'all... I really hope 2010 is
the best year ever for you guys.
Couple of notes: The new record, Joyland, comes out in about 2 months
with a bunch of killer new videos so please watch for those. I am
also hearing from a bunch of folks that guitar magazines (UK, US, and
other places) are seeking nominations for "Best of 2009" and
"Best-guitar-player-of-the-Year" things. Any support you could lend
my way would be greatly appreciated on that end.
Just got a new Xbox 360 so I can cut down on the split screen action on the
home front and be a smoother multi-player game guy. My wife and I are both
revisiting Oblivion and we were tired of waiting for hours to take
turns running around the forests of Cyrodiil!
Ok enough of that dorky business.
Wishing you a bunch of peace as we go through the next
months of busy-busy holiday stuff.

Celebrate the release of Joyland with me in New York Feb 23, 2010

Hi Everybody, my new CD Joyland
is coming out on Razor and Tie Records on Feb 23, 2010 and I want to
celebrate this with a kick-off gig, aka "CD release party", at New York
City's Highline Ballroom. My good friend and stellar musician Johnny
Dickinson will be opening the show. This will be a great night of
music. Also, I will be posting more US dates shortly but wanted to let
y'all know the news as soon as everything's confirmed. Can't wait to see

Hey guys! So I've just finished up recording my
new album, Joyland, and it should be going off to mastering this week.
I also just wrapped up shooting some video that we plan to include with
the CD. It'll have some notes about the songs and recording process as
well as some general interview bits. On this album I've branched out a
bit and included some instrumentation on a couple of songs. There's
also a new harpguitar tune and a couple of covers including another one
of my favorite 80's tunes. It should be be available in February!
Concert dates – Hello 2010 touring calendar!Posting dates today as a matter of fact.
I will support Joyland with a ton of
touring! I am starting in the US, going to the UK, then to Europe and
back to the US. It is my plan to play as many different cities and
countries in the world as I can in the next 2 years (wow, did I just
say that??? EXCELLENT!) So, if you don’t see your country listed (or
your city for that matter) please be patient and keep watching for
dates.I am expecting to go to Asia, the Middle East, Oceania, and South America. I'll keep you posted!
I can’t wait to see you all and share my new music with you.
